Day 86, 87 & 88

I have been taking pictures, lots of pictures in fact.. I have just been busy having fun with family. So here are the pictures from Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Day 86-Red rover, red rover!
Extended family, games & fun, and good food.. life is good.

Day 87- Architecture and Lights
Sunday we went to the Mormon Battalion Visitor Center in San Diego, it is amazing
and the the lights, the curves, I loved it

Day 88-The New RoomEric's parents came this weekend and worked very very hard.
We divided the playroom into two rooms, here is Alex's new room.

All pictures are SOOC (Straight out of Camera)

Day 84-Kid's Art

Around 2:00 there was a knock on the door
which was soon followed with lots of big hugs and smiles
Mimi and Papi had made it (my in-laws).
Alex and Lucas drew a picture for Mimi, which she hung up on the bathroom mirror.
I must admit I am jealous as I think this is one of the best pictures Lucas has done on his own; he really isn't into drawing that much.
(and look you can see me too)

Day 83- Flower heaven!

These grow wildly all along the highways and roads this time of year.
I love it!
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any spots other than the highways or busy roads that they grow, so no pictures of my kids in them yet.

Day 82- Palm Leaves

Sometimes you have to prune dead branches off of palm trees and then you chase each around the yard with them of course.

Day 72& 73-The Show

Yes, I have just one picture for two days.
Saturday I did not take any pictures.
And yes I didn't take this picture, someone took it for me.. but it was my camera.

This is me and one of my good friends that was in the cast of the musical I performed in all week. It has been a roller coaster of a week, but a wonderful wonderful roller coaster that has helped remind me of what is truly important in life and of the true hope and power of the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Life is good, the little things don't matter. What matters is my family, my testimony and my faith in our Savior.
But don't worry-I'll keep taking pictures.

Day 71-Photo Editing

I am doing something a bit different for today's picture.

I have had several questions about how I do the different post picture editing. I do not have Photoshop. I do have a trial of Photoshop Elements. But all of the edits I am about to show you were done in iPhoto (got rid of the scratch on her nose) and mostly in Adobe Lightroom, which currently still has a free trial of the Beta 3 version. (FYI-an awesome Photoshop like program that is ALWAYS free is Gimp!) There are so many presets you can get to install that will change these pictures with the click of a button. Most of the presets that I am going to show you came from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tricks, AWESOME site!

I must admit, when I am in messing with a picture, I often don't save or remember what I did, I just get in there and start pushing buttons and tweaking... so while I can't tell you specifically for each picture, this can just show some of the fun you can have. One of these days I will have to do a more in-depth tutorial, but just jump in and have fun!

These pictures are all entitled-why you should monitor a three-year-old with a stamper.

The Original

So don't be afraid to mess around and try stuff out. You never know what you may get.

Day 70- Stubborn

Alex came downstairs so proud as she had dressed herself.
We had to go to Lucas' outdoor soccer practice...
she was holding her ground.
Luckily I did get her to put on pants..
the inside out shirt, yeah we just left that all day.

Day 69-Now What?

During our Time For Tot's days some activities just work better than others..
this one had potential.. but just didn't quite turn out as planned.
He wasn't quite sure what to think with all that paint on his hands.

.. and hey I am actually in a shot :)

Day 64- What they do for fun

Eric gets quite the workout thanks to the kids.
What are they doing?
Well sitting on the couch cushions, spinning and then dropping them of course.
Don't you do that everyday in your house too?

Day 61- Some Noise

Sometimes mistakes can be turned into treasure.
My settings were all wrong for this picture, it came out black.
One I was ready to just throw away.
But I went in, moved the exposure way up, decreased the noise as much as possible
and noise and mistakes become artistic and texture.

Day 60-Mmm Yum!

and well I couldn't say no, could you?

I realized I have a lot of food posts... must be pregnant and hungry or something
