Day 12

That's it...
that is all of the groceries we needed.
Alex had a nap, so I figured it would be safe to go. I never even fathomed it would be my 5 year old lying in the isle throwing a fit.

All because I said no.. no he could not buy that car. I didn't take a picture of him throwing a fit at the store as I was doing my best to stay calm and just deal with the situation.

It didn't really improve... and then when there were someone standing next to my car pretending to box the windows of my van, as he was a professional boxer back in Indiana, as he told me...
well don't mess with a momma who's been dealing with a tantrum-throwing, getting in more trouble by the minute 5-year-old.

Hope your afternoon was better than mine.

  1. I hate putting the groceries away.
It's right up there with putting the laundry away.

  2. SO sorry miss. It's amazing how upset the older boys can get! I can see Ethan doing the exact same thing. I prefer to shop while he's at preschool now, for that exact reason! Hope today is better!

  3. Ugh! I hope today is much better, and though I know why you didn't take a picture of the tantrum, don't you think it would have been fun to look back on in 10 years? Show all his buddies the tantrums he threw all for a toy car.

  5. my 3 year old grandson had a fit because I didn't buy him a car too--I left him in the car until he was through. (don't worry--I watched from the window)
