Day 6: Friday Fun

After a month of somebody being sick, lots of family visiting and holidays I finally made it back to work out class.

It felt so good putting on my work out clothes.
And it still felt good when class was all over.

Then I got to spend part of the day with my best friend CA Girl- the kids played and we just sat and visited- it was perfect.Friday night we always go out to dinner- this week it was Fudruckers.

Thing that made me smile today: During dinner Ryder took a sip of his milk, threw his head back and said "mmmm". He then pointed to Eric and said "Dada mmmm" Eric complied threw his head back and said mmmm. Ryder then went around the table point at each of us, waiting for us to say mmm too. "Lalix" he said pointing to Alex. "Cas" he said pointing to Lucas. "Mama" we all take our turn, throw our heads back and say "mmmm" This is his favorite dinner time game.

Day 5: Nap Time

I love nap-time. It is quite precious to me. I am going to morn it when it is gone. But time will go quickly and I will probably wish for these simple days again.

But today- today when your usual hour and a half nap became two and then almost three- I began to miss you.

I crept into your room, camera in hand

Day 4: Sun and Fights

The kids started fighting- we needed to get out.

Outside we go.

I love living in a cul-de-sac. We sometimes take over the road

But be mindful of that big curb

It's his sister's old lawn mower- he has claimed it as his own. Yes, it is pink. But don't give him a pink sippy cup. We tried one time (it was part of a two-pack) he shoved that thing away and refused to drink from it. Pink lawn mowers okay- pink sippy cups- not so much.

Ryder went in the garage and got out the chalk

He likes adding his contribution to everybody's work

But inevitably I have to say

and the fun ends and we start seeing red

What were they fighting about? Well who had the most jewels and where they should hide them of course. Gotta love fights over imaginary things.

But when it got to this- yes she is about to kick him

that is when mama cop came out and they ended up in the slammer

Wait- that isn't right.

When does school start back up again?

Jan 3rd- What happed to Me?

A week and a half of not doing laundry looks like this

very bad

so before I even put my contacts in I did this

and the kids... well they might have done a little too much of this

and I might not have ever changed out of this

but dang it look at this

And the clean stuff is put away too

Moment that made me smile today: While I was switching loads of laundry I suddenly heard some music. I turned around and saw thishe had found the old ipod, docked it and started some music.

And then he danced.

January 2nd

It was Eric's last day off- we had gotten very used to him being home- we needed to spend it right

Donuts at Krispy Kreme for breakfast
The kids could watch that donut maker all day
A new park to discover and explore

And well it was 84 degrees at our house- and 78 at the beach- so, yep off we wentAn afternoon at the beach-- a new beach for us

Ryder wasn't so sure about the sand at first- but soon he was happyAnd we ended the day with dinner at Sonic.

Does Eric really have to go back to work??

A New Beginning

On this blog, I first did the Project 365- mostly successful. Then I had these grand ideas of what I was going to do with my photoblog last year, with all sorts of topics- yea it failed. But this year, this year I am going to do a 365 Journal. It will involve pictures- but I don't want to take pictures just to take pictures but I want to document the little everyday things.

Over on my main blog, I do tell my story and things in my life- but the little things, that are important to me but don't always make great blog fodder- that is what I am going to document here.

So really this is totally selfish and all for me-though I am sure my mom and MIL will love it. So this is the start of my 365 Journal all for me.

Eric and I actually stayed up till midnight- well past it. We had spent the afternoon and evening at Scandia with the kids, they loved it.

We put them to bed, then watched some classics- I picked Legally Blonde, he picked I-Spy. We were still watching I-spy when we heard some fireworks- it was midnight. We paused the show to give a quick toast and kiss then finished the show.

At our late night made me grateful for 11:00 church-- though hard on Ryder- who feel asleep and slept almost all of nursery in one of the nursery leaders arms. He woke up and freaked out though- momentarily unsure of where he was.
