Eat Like a Horse

The day began as I contemplated how so many socks always end up mateless!

Seriously how does this happen?

And then I got the perfect picture for the photoaday topic of "down"-- as Ryder was getting down eating his popcorn.

Why was he doing this-- and so proud of it?

Well because his sister taught him to eat like a horse of course.

Whatever Dad!

Lately my two oldest have started doing something new.  I am pretty sure I might be the reason they are doing it, but no proof so can't blame it on me.

What are they doing?  Giving the big W- yep for "whatever".    Thankfully they aren't doing it because they are smart-mouth teenagers, but usually doing it when Eric is teasing and saying things they know aren't true- which is often, he likes to tease.

On the way to church, Eric was asking the kids where we should park at church.  "Should we park on the sidewalk?" he asked, "or how about on the roof of the church." he said teasing.

At which moment Ryder said "teaser" while sticking two fingers up in the air trying to form the W.

We all started cracking up.  

Today's picture was sun.  After church Sunday naps are always a wonderful thing.  Eric took his laying down in the "sun", Ryder was even kind enough to wrap him up after he was asleep.

And Eric took this cute picture of the boys for his photoaday since "sun" sounds like "son"-- see he is a teaser.

Day 13: Lazy days, beds and Icecream

No school today- yes already after just going back from Christmas break.

But we enjoy the lazy, easy morning. Lot's of laundry for me. Some crafts for the kids.

Oh and yes there was this...but you will have to go read my main blog on Monday to learn more about that.

And we ended the night with dinner out and icecream.

He eat's his in a bowl.
She eat's hers in a cone-
which, yes she ate the cone before the ice cream. And was quite proud of herself for doing so. But she would not do this with a drumstick. In fact she does just the opposite eating just the icecream, sticking her finger way deep into the waffle cone to get out the last bits of icecream only to throw the waffle cone away. She isn't allowed to eat drumsticks anymore. So far cones are safe-ish.

Day 120, 121, 122

Day 122I think it should be a law that any sign or warnings made should rhyme.
It just makes thing more fun that way.

Day 121
I convinced him to roll down the grass along side the driveway,
rather than the driveway itself..
much better choice if you ask me.

Day 120
"Should we stop and get some donuts?"
Alex didn't say no, so we did.

Day 111- Something is Missing

We couldn't find the wheels for the car...

she said it drives better this way.
Maybe she was using the same logic when she took off the girl's hair
"so she can drive her car" she told me...
hmmm.... I don't take my hair off when I drive, do you?
